LOVINGTON, N.M. - A Lovington man is behind bars after authorities caught him with thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property.
34-year-old Roy Lane is behind bars for receiving stolen property, transferring a stolen vehicle and several other traffic violations.
His arrest came after several agencies received information that a vehicle and its contents was traveling on a Carlsbad highway with stolen property.
That's when a sheriff's officials spotted a white pickup with a trailer in tow matching the description.
A traffic stop was conducted in the Lovington area and Lane was arrested.
As of Friday, the value of the items recovered totals over $29,000 and officials expect that number to only increase.
Officials say the arrest was made thanks to teamwork between the Pecos Valley Drug Force and Eddy and Lea County Sheriff's Office.
