LOVINGTON, N.M. - The guilt must have gotten to a Lovington, New Mexico, teen involved in a robbery, high speed chase and gun fight with police.

19-year-old Jonathan Thomas has been on the run after the crime spree back in December.

According to the affidavit, he went to the police department and told officers that he along with Enrique Quiroga, Maritza Mota and Sayra Baeza stole a car in Lovington.

They got a flat tire in Roswell and that's when the group carjacked a driver at gunpoint.

The report says Quiroga told Thomas it would be "body bags or toe tags" if Thomas didn't go along with the carjacking plan.

The next day, the group went into Beall's and stole several items.

Quiroga flashed a gun at the manager when she tried to stop him.

Police say the group headed to Odessa then to El Paso where they got caught.

They led authorities on a high speed chase and gunfire also erupted.

Quiroga was hit several times but survived.
