ODESSA – One student is in hot water after bringing a gun to class on Monday.
Ector County ISD officials tell NewsWest 9, they received a tip that a student was seen with a gun in the parking lot of Permian High School.
Officers responded to the campus and took the 15-year-old student into custody.
ECISD officials are reporting that the 15-year-old did have a gun in his backpack.
The student told police he brought the gun to school to show to his friends and he didn't intend to hurt anyone.
The student is now facing felony charges for bringing the gun to school.
