Four West Texans were sentenced on Wednesday for a $45 million dollar mortgage fraud scheme but not everyone got jail time.
All plead guilty to the crime but one person got off with probation.
The group came up with a same day property flip scheme and the crime went on for nearly a decade.
The men would buy property used for one of their investment companies then turn around and sell it at a higher price to another investment company.
The women got the papers need to get the properties and bank loans.
Michael Cowan and Stephen Hilliard both received three years in prison and four years of probation.
Bertha McFadden was the first to take a plea agreement and she was sentenced to a year and a day behind bars.
