LEA COUNTY, N.M. - Lea County Commissioners are showing their support for a proposed school bond in Jal, New Mexico.
At Tuesday's meeting, commissioners adopted a resolution to support the $47 million bond.
If it's approved, there will be a brand new elementary school, the main building at the high school will be renovated and a middle school will be built.
The main gym and old gym will be renovated, along with the high school cafeteria.
Voters will head out to the polls on February third to vote yes or no to the bond.
