20-year-old Chance Thompson and 20-year-old Robert La Chance

Odessa Police arrested Thompson for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony" and Prohibited Weapon "Class A Misdemeanor". Odessa Police also arrested La Chance for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony". Officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray 2004 Honda in the 1000 block of West University.

The driver was identified as Thompson and the front passenger as La Chance. While making contact with Thompson, officers could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the listed vehicle. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a bag of methamphetamine inside the driver's door, two glass smoking pipes between the driver's seat and center console.

Officers also discovered a digital scale, a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana residue in it, and a pair of brass knuckles. Officers searched La Chance and discovered two syringes inside his right pant leg. Thompson admitted that the brass knuckles were his. Both subjects were charged and arrested accordingly.

21-year-old Ryan McBride

Odessa Police arrested McBride for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony". Officers observed a red 2000 Chevrolet Blazer run a stop sign at 48th and Golder. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as McBride. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a bag of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe in the center console.

Officers searched McBride and discovered glass smoking pipe with meth residue inside of his right boot. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, McBride was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

22-year-old Craig Carlton

Odessa Police arrested Carlton for Forgery by Passing, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to 1412 North County Road West (About Cash) in reference to fraudulent activity. Upon arrival, About Cash personnel advised a male subject had attempted to cash a check that was sent from an insurance company for a total loss vehicle.

When About Cash attempted to verify the check, A Fidelity National Title Agency representative advised that the check was fraudulent. Investigation revealed the suspect had previously attempted to cash the check at 1st Convenience Bank but was unsuccessful. The suspect, identified as Carlton, was charged and arrested accordingly.

48-year-old Bobby Mosby

Odessa Police arrested Mosby on 12-31-14 for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a gray Cadillac Escalade traveling eastbound on Murphy from Dixie. Officers noticed that the back passenger window was broken. A computer check revealed that the listed vehicle had been reported stolen earlier.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle in the 400 block of Lindy. The driver was identified as Mosby. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Mosby was charged and arrested accordingly and the vehicle was returned to its owner.

60-year-old Randal Henslee

Odessa Police arrested Henslee on 1-5-15 at approximately 0205 hours for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle "State Jail Felony" and a misdemeanor traffic warrant. Officers observed a red Kia Rio traveling westbound in the 2400 block of West 2nd Street. A computer check revealed that the listed vehicle had been reported stolen earlier.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Henslee. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Henslee was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner.

27-year-old Mario Rivas-Alvarado

Odessa Police arrested Rivas-Alvarado on 1-2-15 at approximately 0253 hours for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a 3rd Degree Felony. Officers observed a gray 1997 Dodge truck stopped at the intersection of 2nd and Grant. The light was green and the listed truck was not moving. Officers pulled up behind the listed vehicle and observed that it did not move for another traffic cycle.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle and observed a male subject asleep on the driver's seat. Officers woke up the driver, identified as Rivas-Alvarado, who had slurred speech and unsteady balance. Rivas-Alvarado was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated on a substance other than alcohol after failing field sobriety tests.

Officers located synthetic marijuana on the driver's seat along with an empty synthetic marijuana bag inside the listed truck. Further investigation revealed Rivas-Alvarado had multiple prior convictions for driving while intoxicated. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Rivas-Alvarado was charged and arrested accordingly.

30-year-old James Steinhauer

Odessa Police arrested Steinhauer for Forgery by Passing "State Jail Felony" and for eight outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers responded to 2804 Andrews Highway (Kwik Cash) in reference to a forgery in progress. Upon arrival, the complainant pointed out a male subject, identified as Steinhauer, as the actor.

Investigation revealed that Steinhauer attempted to cash a $1500 check from D&D Tire Shop. Further investigation revealed that Steinhauer had forged a signature on the check. Steinhauer was interviewed by OPD detectives and admitted to stealing checks on 12-29-14 from D&D Tire Shop.

Steinhauer also voluntarily admitted to OPD detectives that he had passed the forged check for the amount of $1500. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Steinhauer was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC. A warrant check also revealed Steinhauer had 8 outstanding warrants.
