ODESSA - Three people shot and one person has died following a weekend shooting. The family of Lester Starling say he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Odessa Police don't have a motive behind the shooting. Until the suspect is caught, questions remain unanswered.

It started Saturday morning a little after 1 a.m. at the popular night club called Billy's Zodiac Club, near the intersection of Dixie Boulevard and Murphy Street in Odessa.

Shots rang out but the number differs between witnesses.

"Several, several shots were fired," Corporal Steve LeSueur with the Odessa Police Department, said.

LeSueur described the scene when Odessa Police and Odessa Fire-Rescue showed up.

"Investigation reveals that three subjects had been shot at the Zodiac night club. One of those subjects, unfortunately was pronounced deceased on scene and the other two were taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injuries," LeSueur said.

The person who died was 26 year-old Lester Starling, who leaves behind a grieving family.

Police are still looking for 29 year-old Kortney Powell in connection with the shooting.

"At this time, a murder warrant has been obtained for Powell. Anyone with information in connection to the incident or the whereabouts of Powell is asked to call Odessa Police or Odessa Crimestoppers," LeSueur said.

NewsWest 9 is still working to get more information on the two other people shot at Billy's Zodiac Club. Anyone who might know where Powell is, you're asked to call Odessa Police or Odessa Crimestoppers at 333-TIPS.
