Denver City Man Killed in Three Vehicle Accident

GAINES COUNTY – A Denver City man is dead and two others were injured after a morning accident in Gaines County.

The accident happened on Wednesday just after 7:30 a.m. on State Highway 214.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 was traveling southbound on Highway 214 and a 2010 Ford Escape was traveling northbound on Highway 214. A third vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling behind the Dodge Ram.

We're told the driver of the Dodge Ram veered into the northbound lane to pass and hit the 2010 Ford Escape. The collision caused the Ford Escape to crash into the Chevy Silverado.

The driver of the Ford Escape, 33-year-old Christopher Lynn Clayton, was killed in the accident.

The drivers of the other two vehicles, 25-year-old Jordan Summers and Jason Wayne Allen were injured.
