GALVESTON, Texas (AP) - A generous soul has slipped a $25,000 cashier's check into a Salvation Army red kettle in Southeast Texas.
Salvation Army Capt. Mark Jacobs said Friday that the anonymously donated check was found in a red kettle in Galveston.
The Galveston County Daily News reports the check turned up Wednesday in a red kettle near a drug store. Officials aren't sure who left the check but welcome the money.
Jacobs says the funds will be used for Salvation Army services in Galveston County.
