UPDATE: Odessa Police Arrest Shooting Suspects

ODESSA- Odessa Police responded to the scene of a shooting at 52nd and Constitution, late Monday night.

Police arrested two suspects involved in the shooting of a police officer.

Those suspects have been identified as Nathaniel Olivas and Judith Rivera.

According to OPD, police responded to Rabb CT and New Orleans Drive in response to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle, a maroon Ford Taurus, took off and stopped in the east alley of the 4600 block of Constitution.

The officer chased Olivas, on foot, southbound through the alley. That is when the suspect turned around and fired multiple shots at the officer.

The injured officer has been identified as Anthony Rossman. Rossman was taken to Medical Center Hospital with a gun shot wound to the leg. Rossman was treated and released.

Police arrested the two suspects with the help of the Texas Rangers.

Both Olivas and Rivera are charged with attempted capital murder charges.
