ANDREWS - The Andrews Police Department busted some thieves over the weekend. The mother-daughter duo stole over $2,000 worth of merchandise and one the criminals is no stranger to our newscast.

You might remember footage featured on one of NewsWest9's Caught on Camera.

Belinda Hart was caught stealing bedazzled Miss Me jeans at Dillard's. Belinda was arrested for that crime but it seems like she's back at it. This time, Belinda was in Andrews and she even brought her daughter along.

"No, this is not her fist time being arrested and charged with theft and it's unfortunate that she has got her family members involved. It is what it is. She'll be charged just like her mother," Andrews Chief of Police, Bud Jones, said.

On Saturday, Officer Chris Davis was called to Dollar General in Andrews after the store reported two ladies had stolen from them. Davis said he watched store footage of two females not paying for several items.

"A short time later, I was on patrol and I observed the same vehicle from the video. I conducted a traffic stop. I saw a lot of believed to be stolen property in the back and it was the two females I saw on camera," Davis said.

Sure enough, it was Belinda and Stephanie Hart. The mother-daughter duo stole everything from tools, laundry detergent, holiday decorations and of course bedazzled jeans. Andrews Police said the items are from several different stores in Andrews, Seminole and Odessa.

"The back seat was full all the way up to the roof," Davis said.

Belinda and Stephanie are currently behind bars in Andrews on felony theft charges. Belinda also got slapped with a controlled substance charge after Davis found what he believed to be methamphetamine on her.
