ODESSA - A 21-year-old woman was shot in the face early Sunday morning at Super Inn and Suites on East Highway 80, according to Odessa Police.
She was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries after officers arrived on scene around 1:30 a.m.
"We do not have anybody in custody at this time," Odessa Police Spokesman, Cpl. Steve LeSueur, said. "We are still working to put together an accurate suspect description."
He could not confirm what led up to the shooting or how many people were involved.

NewsWest 9 reached out to Super Inn and Suites management. They have no comment.
Studio 6, the hotel next door to Super Inn, was the scene of a fatal shooting in April. 36-year-old Dewayne Johnson was shot multiple times and later pronounced dead at Medical Center Hospital.
Odessa Police are still working to identify the suspect.
Millard Poche, a guest at the Studio 6 location in Odessa, told NewsWest 9 he "isn't accustomed to so much violent crime."
"I'm in town from Louisiana [for oil-related work]. It's scary coming over here [to Odessa]. You don't know what's going to happen over here," Poche said.
Poche said his co-workers frequently travel to West Texas and he is "scared for people coming down here."
Although his hotel room is just a few feet away from where Dewayne Green was fatally shot, he "feels safe - for now."
"But I'll be happy to go back to Louisiana for Christmas. I got seven grandkids. Time for me to go home," Poche said.
