53-year-old Patricia Hogan

Odessa Police arrested Hogan on 12-4-14 at approximately 2032 hours for Assault on a Public Servant "3rd Degree Felony" and Assault Family Violence "Class C Misdemeanor". Officers responded to the 1400 block of Custer in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with two subjects.

Investigation revealed that a female subject, identified as Hogan, pushed her 26-year-old son after getting into an argument with him. While officers made contact with Hogan, she cussed at them and asked them to get off her property. Hogan was uncooperative with officers and tried to go inside her residence after repeatedly being asked to remain outside.

While Corporal Dustin Dean was talking to Hogan, she kicked him in the chest area, causing bodily injury. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hogan was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

24-year-old Joe Gabriel Martinez

Odessa Police arrested Martinez on 12-3-14 at approximately 2115 hours for Possession of Cocaine "2nd Degree Felony" and Possession of Marijuana "Class A Misdemeanor". Officers observed a silver Cadillac DHS traveling southbound in the 4700 block of North Dixie with no taillights activated during nighttime hours.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Martinez. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine and a bag of marijuana. The marijuana weighed approximately 3.6 ounces and the cocaine weighed approximately 5 grams. Martinez was charged and arrested accordingly.

30-year-old Jennifer Gonzalez and 42-year-old Victor Ramirez

Odessa Police arrested Gonzalez on 12-2-14 at approximately 1336 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony", Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor", No Proof of Insurance with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor', and six outstanding misdemeanor warrants, including one out of Ward County for Assault Family Violence "Class A Misdemeanor".

Odessa Police also arrested Ramirez for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and two misdemeanor warrants. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a red 1998 Chevrolet Silverado in the 100 block of East I-20. The driver was identified as Gonzalez and the front passenger as Ramirez. Investigation revealed Ramirez had two outstanding warrants and had six outstanding warrants.

Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine behind the driver's seat and more cocaine on the floor between the front passenger seat and front passenger door. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, both subjects were charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

41-year-old Eric Sullivan

Odessa Police arrested Sullivan on 12-2-14 at approximately 1526 hours for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a 3rd Degree Felony. Officers observed a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado run a red light at Grant and Clements, striking a red Ford F-350. Officers activated their emergency lights and immediately observed the front passenger of the Silverado throw a Budweiser beer bottle out the window.

While making contact with the driver of the Silverado, officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction after failing field sobriety tests. The front passenger, identified as Sullivan, was arrested for tampering with physical evidence since he attempted to conceal the beer bottle as evidence.

22-year-old Roberto Salgado

Odessa Police arrested Salgado on 12-3-14 at approximately 1551 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a 3rd Degree Felony. Officers observed a silver 2003 Toyota Highlander traveling westbound in the 2500 block of West 8th Street with an expired inspection sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Salgado.

While making contact with Salgado, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a bag of cocaine near the driver' seat. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Salgado was charged and arrested accordingly.

20-year-old Joshua Shepherd

Odessa Police arrested Shepherd on 12-3-14 at approximately 0126 hours for Theft "Class B Misdemeanor" and two felony warrants out of Oklahoma for Fugitive From Justice – Uttering Forged Instruments. Officers responded to 4210 North JBS Parkway (Wal-Mart East) in reference to a shoplifter.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Wal-Mart personnel, who advised they observed a male subject selecting items and placing them inside of his backpack. The suspect then exited the store with the items without making any attempt to pay for them. All of the items, valued at approximately $172, were returned to Wal-Mart.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Shepherd was placed into custody for misdemeanor theft. Further investigation revealed Shepherd was wanted out of Oklahoma for two felony warrants. Shepherd was transported to the ECLEC.

27-year-old Casey Collum

Odessa Police arrested Collum on 12-4-14 at approximately 0644 hours for Tampering with Physical Evidence "3rd Degree Felony", Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony", and No Proof of Insurance "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a brown Chevrolet Impala traveling southbound in the 2800 block of Andrews Highway displaying an expired registration sticker.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Collum, who was unable to provide proof of insurance. Investigation revealed Collum had prior convictions for no proof of insurance so he was placed into custody for no proof of insurance with prior convictions. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a clear crystal substance on the floor between the driver's seat and driver's door.
