24-year-old Alex Gonzales

Odessa Police arrested Gonzales on 11-21-14 at approximately 1100 hours for Fail to Stop and Render Aid, a Third Degree Felony. Back on 11-4-14 at approximately 1204 hours, officers responded to Murphy and College in reference to a hit and run. Investigation revealed a black or dark gray newer model Dodge Challenger struck a 22-year-old female who was also holding onto her son who was walking next to her.

The driver of the Dodge Challenger fled the scene of the accident without stopping to check on the injuries and failed to meet necessary legal requirements. The impact knocked the victim to the ground causing bodily injury. The victim and her son were transported to Medical Center Hospital. The victim and her son were legally crossing the road at a crosswalk.

Numerous crime stopper tips were developed on the case in which one described the suspect vehicle as a charcoal gray Challenger and the license plate number was provided to investigators. The registered owner was located who stated that the vehicle had been used by an Alex Gonzales on 11-4-14. Gonzales was contacted by an Odessa Police Department Hit and Run investigator and agreed to come to the police department.

Gonzales came to the Odessa Police Department on 11-21-14 and admitted to operating the Dodge Challenger, which belonged to his aunt and uncle. Gonzales admitted to striking the victim while she was in the crosswalk. Gonzales stated he panicked and fled the scene. Based on the facts and circumstances provided during the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Gonzales.

22-year-old Christopher Rodriguez

Odessa Police arrested Rodriguez on 11-21-14 for Attempting to Take a Weapon From a Peace Officer, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to 4675 Oakwood in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a male subject was inside an apartment destroying items and threatening to harm anyone there.

Officers made contact with the male subject, identified as Rodriguez. While officers were attempting to make contact with Rodriguez, he stated "I want your gun" to one of the officers and lunged toward the officer and reached for his gun. Rodriguez was charged and arrested accordingly.

27-year-old Krysten Bolden

Odessa Police arrested Bolden on 11-23-14 at approximately 0130 hours for Public Intoxication "Class C Misdemeanor" and two counts of Assault on a Public Servant "3rd Degree Felony". While officers were in a parking lot in the 4500 block of East University, a female subject exited a building and began yelling at two officers.

The female subject, identified as Bolden, had red bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, unsteady balance and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. While officers were making contact with Bolden, she began yelling in the face of one of the officers and later slapped her on the left side of her face.

Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Bolden was placed into custody for public intoxication and assault on a public servant. While a second officer was attempting to place Bolden into the back of a police unit, she began fighting and refused to get into the vehicle.

Bolden then flung her head backwards and hit the second officer in the mouth. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Bolden was additionally charged with a second count of assault on a public servant. Bolden was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

30-year-old Jeremy Daniel Baeza

Odessa Police arrested Baeza for Theft "State Jail Felony" and Driving While License Invalid with no Insurance "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a red 1999 Ford F-150 towing a blue 2012 C & M trailer without trailer lights. The listed vehicle also had a red bandana covering the vehicle's rear license plate.

A traffic stop was conducted at Bookins and Kermit Highway and the driver was identified as Baeza. Dispatch advised Baeza's license was suspended and Baeza also advised he did not have insurance. Further investigation revealed the trailer had previously been stolen from the 3100 block of Magill. Baeza was charged and arrested accordingly. The trailer was returned to its owner.

19-year-old Morgan Christina Garrett

Odessa Police arrested Garrett on 11-20-14 at approximately 2143 hours for Assault on a Public Servant "3rd Degree Felony", Possession of Dangerous Drugs "Class A Misdemeanor", Evading Arrest or Detention "Class A Misdemeanor", Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor", and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport "Class A Misdemeanor".

Officers observed a gray Pontiac G6 run a stop sign at Muskingum and Texas. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Garrett. While making contact with Garrett, officers observed marijuana residue on the backseat of the listed vehicle. Garrett stated that there was a little bit of marijuana inside the vehicle.

Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a digital scale containing marijuana residue, several small bags consistent with street sale narcotics, approximately 27 grams of marijuana, and multiple Xanax pills with no prescription. As officers attempted to detain Garrett, she immediately began running southbound on Muskingum.

Officers eventually caught Garrett. While officers were attempting to detain Garrett a second time, she elbowed an OPD officer in the face, causing his lower lip to start bleeding. Garrett continued to actively resist by kicking the officer but was eventually placed into custody. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Garrett was charged and arrested accordingly.

28-year-old Sarah Tucker

Odessa Police arrested Tucker on 11-18-14 at approximately 0830 hours for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Violence) "2nd Degree Felony" and for 8 outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Officers responded to the 1400 block of West 11th Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 25-year-old male who was arguing with a female subject, identified as Tucker.

Investigation revealed that after Tucker got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend, she got into a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, and attempted to strike him with the vehicle. The ex-boyfriend reported that he jumped behind a tree to prevent the vehicle from striking him, at which point Tucker intentionally swerved her vehicle in the direction of her ex-boyfriend, causing the vehicle to jump the curb line and travel across a residential lawn.

The vehicle continued driving across the lawn destroying some items before coming to a stop near a fence. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Tucker was charged and arrested accordingly. There were no reports of any injuries during the incident. Tucker was transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

27-year-old Shericka Shawntae Bars

Odessa Police arrested Bars for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers conducted a traffic stop on an orange Kia Rio near Barrett and Monahans. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Bars.

Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine on the center console and more on the floor near the front passenger seat. Officers also discovered cocaine residue inside her purse. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Bars was charged and arrested accordingly.

36-year-old Amanda Kennedy

Odessa Police arrested Kennedy on 11-22-14 at approximately 1254 hours for Assault By Strangulation (Family Violence), a Third Degree Felony. Officers responded to the 3800 block of Melody Lane in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed that after Kennedy and her husband had been arguing, Kennedy choked her husband.

Kennedy placed her husband in a "choke hold" and impeded his airway to a point that he could no longer breathe. An independent witness was on scene and confirmed that the husband's account of the incident was correct. Based on the facts and circumstance presented during the investigation, Kennedy was charged and arrested accordingly.

21-year-old William Jenkins

Odessa Police arrested Jenkins on 11-21-14 at approximately 0005 hours for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2010 Dodge Challenger in the 200 block of Ellis. The driver of the listed vehicle was identified as Jenkins. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine on the driver floor board, passenger floor board, and center cup holder. Jenkins was charged and arrested accordingly.
