BIG SPRING – One person is recovering after being shot in Big Spring on Thursday afternoon.
Big Spring Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to the 1500 block of Sycamore in reference to shots being fired.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 40-year-old Nathan Robinson, III, with a gunshot wounds to the lower leg.
Robinson told police that he had been in a dispute with a neighbor over parking rights when the dispute went from verbal to physical after the neighbor pulled a pistol and shot Robinson in the leg.
We're told the neighbor threatened to shoot the victim again but Robinson was able to make it to his residence and call for help.
Robinson was taken to the hospital and is currently listed in good condition.
The neighbor however fled the scene following the shooting and is being sought for questioning by detectives.
No further information has been released.
