ODESSA - One man is facing several charges following a chase in Odessa.

Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, a 2004 black GMC Sierra caused a hit and run accident in the 3800 block of Eisenhower after hitting a dump truck in an alley.

The driver, 28-year-old Bryant Adkins, left the scene of the accident and an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop.

However, Adkins took off and the chase began.

We're told the chase lasted 24 minutes before the vehicle crashed into a fence of a residence.

Adkins then went inside the residence and was taken into custody shortly after.

Officials say the vehicle Adkins was in was a stolen vehicle.
