MIDLAND - With Breast Cancer Awareness Month coming to an end, survivors were honored on Thursday at a special event.
“Pink The Basin” held their annual celebration luncheon at the Horseshoe Arena in Midland.
The organization used the event to raise awareness for breast cancer and the need for mammograms.
It was also a fundraising event as the money donated will pay for mammograms.
Doctors recommend that women over 40 should have a mammogram once a year.
