HOBBS, N.M. - The Hobbs School District is reducing their requirements for new teachers.

The school board voted last week to suspend the district's master's requirement policy.

That policy stated teachers must earn a master's degree within six years of their hiring.

Superintendent T.J. Parks told the Hobbs News-Sun he supported the policy but that they were having trouble hiring.
