ODESSA – One man was arrested following an incident in Odessa on Tuesday morning.
Odessa Police were called out to the 900 block of North Belmont in reference to a disturbance.
We're told this was the second time that officers were called out to the residence during the night.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with 42-year-old Thomas Lucio III.
Lucio's common-law wife reported to police that after she got into an argument with Lucio, she called police after Lucio threw a glass beer bottle at her, hitting her in the left eye.
The woman also reported that as she attempted to walk to the door when police arrived, Lucio grabbed her arm and pushed her into a bedroom door and told her he was going to kill her.
The wife stated that as he pushed her she saw Lucio holding two kitchen knives in his hand.
Lucio then stabbed the door with the two kitchen knives, inches away from her head.
Lucio was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (family violence.)
