ODESSA - An Odessa man will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Curtis Johnson was sentenced by a jury to life and a $10,000 fine for the murder of Evan Fitts back in 2011.
His co-defendant, Trevor Atchinson, was arrested shortly after the murder.
Johnson was indicted in 2013 after police gathered enough evidence to arrest him.
The pair killed Fitts while trying to steal his truck.
Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland says he is glad for the victim's family and although justice was delayed in this case, he is thankful it was not denied.
