ODESSA – One person was taken to the hospital following an accident involving a state trooper on Wednesday.
The accident happened at 16th & Tripp Avenue.
DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9 a black 2003 Dodge Ram disregarded a stop sign at 16th and Tripp and continued into the intersection.
That's when the DPS vehicle was unable to avoid the collision and struck the Dodge Ram.
We're told the force of the collision caused the DPS vehicle to hit the front portion of a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche.
A passenger in the Dodge Ram, as well as the DPS Trooper, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
