MIDLAND - Punching a deputy and getting his dog to help in the attack got one Midland man locked up.

Deputies say Ross Taylor and his wife got into an argument.

According to the report, she said she was going to leave him.

He said the only way she would ever leave him was in a body bag.

The woman was able to leave the home and call deputies.

When deputies got to the home they say an argument broke out.

The report says that's when a deputy grabbed Taylor's wrist and he resisted.

There was a short scuffle then Taylor punched the deputy in the face.

His dog even jumped in and attacked the deputy's leg.

The deputy pulled out a taser and that's when Taylor gave up and was arrested.
