Caught on Camera: Woman Wanted for Stealing Miss-Me Jeans from Dillard's

ODESSA - It's time to ditch those mom-jeans and get on the Miss-Me jean bandwagon, but there's a better way to do it than stealing them from Dillard's.

You know what Miss-Me jeans are--those rhinestone-studded, lightly faded, bold-stitched, butt pocket-designed jeans that everyone's just dying to have.

"Basically what we've got is just a shoplifting, it's a Class B because of the dollar amount on the jeans," Susan Rogers with Odessa Crime Stoppers said.

Luckily for this woman, they weren't bedazzled with real diamonds.

You can see she's wearing a pink Longhorns shirt as she browses through the jean section, trying to get hip with what all the cool kids are wearing. She picks out a couple of pairs and wanders off, but not to look for a cute top to go with them.

"You can see very clearly in this video where she's walking up to the jeans and looking at them and the shorts," Rogers explained. "She takes them, she walks back around to the backside, puts them in her bag and you have a clear shot of her walking right passed the register and straight out the door."

She slips the jeans into her large, paisley-spotted purse. She turns the corner, looks around with a "grumpy cat" look on her face, and walks right out the door, but of course, not before glancing at the shoe department.

"The video is obviously super clear so we really think somebody will recognize her and we need them to give us a call so we can get her put in jail," Rogers said.

Maybe they call them "Miss-Me" jeans because she'll be missing them while she's in jail.

The woman ultimately took two pairs of Miss-Me jeans and a pair of shorts. So if you think you recognize this woman, please call Odessa Crime Stoppers at 333-TIPS and you may get a cash reward.
