ODESSA – An Odessa woman is behind bars on charges of injury to a child.
Odessa Police tell NewsWest 9, they were called out to LBJ Elementary School on October second in reference to an injury to a child.
When officers arrived, two students arrived to school with whip marks on their backs from a belt.
The children told police that their mother, 29-year-old Corina Soto, had whipped them with a belt because they had been fighting.
Soto told investigators that she had disciplined the children by spanking them with a belt.
Soto is facing two charges of injury to a child and is behind bars at the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
