Odessa Students Using an Event to Honor Classmate

Staff Report
NewsWest 9

ODESSA- Tonight students across Odessa will come together at Ratliff Stadium to share their faith and hear speakers.

The free event, Fields of Faith, is put on every year by Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It begins at 7:00 p.m. at Ratliff Stadium.

The Fields of Faith organization challenges students to invite their classmates and teammates listen to speaker's testimonies, worship bands play, and help the teens find faith in Jesus Christ.

Students helping with Wednesday's Fields of Faith are asking those who attend the event to wear white instead of their school colors to honor Hunter Miller, who died Tuesday following a car accident.

Trevor Adams, a former Permian Panther and NCAA Division II National Champion quarterback at Northwest Missouri State, will speak and give the closing challenge. The Will Sherman Band will provide music and lead worship throughout the event.

The meeting is intended to boost the campaign of "maximum pressure" that the Trump administration has championed to deprive the North of revenue for weapons development. Officials will discuss cooperation on sanctions, preventing the spread of weapons by North Korea, and diplomacy.
