MIDLAND – One man is behind bars after being arrested for impersonating a public servant.
On Sunday, a detective with the Midland Police Department pulled his unmarked vehicle into a restaurant parking lot in Midland.
That's when the detective noticed another vehicle pull up next to his and noticed that the vehicle was not parked in a parking spot.
The driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Eleazar Cisneros, got out of the vehicle and knocked aggressively on the detective's window to speak with the detective.
Cisneros said to the detective that he cut his car off and that he was a police officer, not knowing the detective was an officer.
When the detective asked for identification, Cisneros told the detective that he was an undercover police officer and the detective showed his badge and arrested Cisneros.
Cisneros told police that he was in a police academy while being interviewed but later said that he was only taking classes in criminal justice.
