ODESSA - Days after a deadly shooting in Odessa, the gunman is still on the run.

Police tell NewsWest 9, there are no new leads and they need your help.

Odessa Police are actively looking for a suspect and the biggest thing they have to work with is a vehicle of interest.

39-year-old Humberto Palma was shot in the head and later died at the hospital. The shooting happened Monday night off of 23rd and Keystone.

Detectives are working every possible angle on the case and they're looking for a gray or tan Ford Taurus. However, this does not mean it's a suspect vehicle, they just want to track the car down.

NewsWest 9 has previously reported that the majority of the deadly shootings in Odessa this year have been drug-related but Odessa Police said they're not sure yet if that's the case with this shooting.

Several billboards are flashing around town asking the public for help with this case. OPD said the billboards have been a good tool for the department in different investigations.

"We have had a lot of success with the billboards in the past," Cpl. Steve LeSueur said. "We've received numerous tips as a result of those billboards."

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS.
