Once Morales was placed in the back of a police vehicle, he began kicking an officer in the stomach.
The elderly man that was assaulted was taken to Medical Center Hospital with serious bodily injury.
Morales is facing charges of injury to an elderly person, assault on a public servant, evading arrest or detention, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
