PECOS – After what has been a very difficult week for the City of Pecos, the Pecos River is now flowing well.
Pecos Mayor Venetta Seals tells NewsWest 9, the debris under the Barstow Bridge was removed. As of Thursday night, we're told the river is not rising.
All agencies who responded to the Pecos River flooding are expected to leave Pecos on Friday by noon with monitoring to continue by the City of Pecos and Reeves County.
Officials are asking anyone living or working in the Pecos River area to use caution as the ground is saturated and the river water continue to recede.
