ODESSA – An Odessa man is behind bars on several charges following an incident on Wednesday.
Odessa Police were called to the 200 block of South Tom Green in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived on the scene, they saw someone who matched the suspect's description, the suspect took off westbound on Pearl.
The suspect was later caught and told police his name was Christopher Columbus and that he was seven years old.
Later investigation revealed that the suspect was 24-year-old Edward Cromer.
The victim told police that Cromer threw their two month old son onto the couch and that Cromer pushed her to the ground.
Child Protective Services was contacted and an emergency protective order was also filed.
