34-Year-Old Andres Roman

Odessa Police arrested Roman on 9-22-14 at approximately 0412 hours for Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance "1st Degree Felony", Possession of a Dangerous Drug "Class A Misdemeanor", Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor", Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor", and No Proof of Insurance with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor".

Officers observed a white Chrysler Sebring traveling southbound in the 4200 block of Andrews Highway displaying an expired license plate. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Andres Roman, date of birth 9-8-80. While making contact with the driver, officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the inside of the vehicle.

Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered marijuana, several individual baggies, a scale, Xanex pills, and nine bags of methamphetamine. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Roman was charged and arrested accordingly.

57-Year-Old Mark Gregory Melton

Odessa Police arrested Melton on 9-19-14 at approximately 1430 hours for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a Third Degree Felony. Officers responded to the 5000 block of East 42nd Street in reference to a crash. Investigation revealed that a white 2010 Lincoln Town Car caused an accident after failing to yield the right of way while exiting from a private drive.

The driver of the Lincoln Town Car was identified as Melton. Officers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Melton's breath. Melton was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated after failing field sobriety testing. Investigation revealed Melton had multiple prior convictions for driving while intoxicated. Melton was charged and arrested accordingly.

24-Year-Old Justin Capps

Odessa Police arrested Capps on 9-20-14 at approximately 2348 hours for Possession of Heroin "State Jail Felony" and a warrant for violation of promise to appear. Officers responded to 8th and West County Road in reference to a black 2008 Ford F-150 which had been reported stolen out of Ector County.

Upon arrival, officers located the listed vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Capps. While searching the vehicle, officers located a bag of heroin. Officers also located syringes near the driver's door pocket. Capps was arrested for possession of heroin by OPD and was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle "State Jail Felony" by the Ector County Sheriff's Office.

22-Year-Old Cody James-William Dahl

Odessa Police arrested Dahl on 9-19-14 at approximately 1531 hours for Burglary of a Building, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed the driver of a silver 2011 Ford F-150 traveling southbound on JBS Parkway not wearing a seatbelt. When the F-150 approached Highway 80, there was a vehicle in front it that waiting to turn at the stop sign.

The driver of the F-150 started honking his horn in an unreasonable fashion to the vehicle in front of it. A traffic stop was conducted on the F-150 and the driver was identified as Dahl. Dispatch advised Dahl had a felony burglary warrant out of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dahl was charged and arrested accordingly. He was also issued citations for No Seat Belt – Driver and for Unreasonable Use of Horn.

34-Year-Old Adam Lloyd Cooper

Odessa Police arrested Cooper for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle "State Jail Felony" and Possession of a Dangerous Drug "Class A Misdemeanor". Officers responded to 48th and Wright to assist the Ector County Sheriff's Office to recover a white 2011 Chevrolet Silverado that had been reported stolen four days earlier in Odessa.

While searching the listed vehicle, officers discovered Hydrocodone pills that were not prescribed to anyone. Cooper was transported to the Odessa Police Department and interviewed by detectives. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Cooper was charged and arrested accordingly.

26-Year-Old Deminnie Antoinette Hernandez

Odessa Police arrested Hernandez on 9-20-14 at approximately 1612 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and for a misdemeanor traffic warrant. Officers observed a blue Ford Focus traveling northbound in the 500 block of Wabash with an expired inspection sticker.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Hernandez. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered three crack rocks near the driver's seat. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hernandez was charged and arrested accordingly.
