ODESSA - Two teenagers got into trouble with the law after they led police on a high speed chase in a stolen car on Wednesday.

It all started when an Ector County ISD officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a blue Ford Mustang at 17th Street and Alleghaney.

The officer learned that the Mustang was stolen out of Odessa and that's when the vehicle led police on a chase for approximately 15 minutes.

We're told that while the Mustang was being chased, the Mustang hit another vehicle in the Jason's Deli Parking Lot.

The Mustang then left the scene of the accident and officers later found the Mustang after some citizens found the vehicle in an alley in the 2700 block of Halifax.

When officers found the Mustang, two Hispanic males, 17-year-old Donte Flores and a 15-year-old juvenile, attempted to run from police.

Both teens were found hiding in the backyard of a home on East 29th Street.

We're told that when officials searched the vehicle, a handgun was found inside.

The Mustang was returned to owner.

Officials say Flores and the 15-year-old could face several charges including unauthorized used of a motor vehicle, evading in a motor vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon, evading on foot, leaving the scene of an accident, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, burglary of a vehicle and theft of a firearm.
