A former Denver City councilman busted with drugs.
According to the affidavit, Joe Anthony Kay, along with Michael Lozano and five others were involved in a drug ring.
The report says they would deliver methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and cocaine from Denver City to Midland and then to El Paso.
The crew got caught back in July but Kay resigned from the council before the bust.
The city attorney tells NewsWest 9, he didn't give a reason on why he resigned.
Kay is expected to plead guilty on Monday.
If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
Lozano has already pleaded guilty.
