ODESSA - Odessa Police are investigating after a bank robbery that happened in Odessa.

The robbery happened at Commercial State Bank in the 3000 block of Kermit Highway on Thursday afternoon.

We're told the bank called police around 3 p.m. saying that a man drove up on a motorcycle and slipped the teller a note.

Officials say the note threatened that the man had a handgun. He then pulled out a purple bag, opened it and told the teller to place an undisclosed amount of money in the bag.

The man then left the bank westbound.

The man is described as a White or Hispanic male, approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black full-faced helmet with a clear face visor, a khaki jumpsuit and black gloves.

The man is considered armed and dangerous.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the robbery.

If you have any information on this robbery, contact Odessa Police at (432) 333-3641 or Odessa Crimestoppers at (432) 333-TIPS.
