ODESSA – An Odessa Elementary School sheltered in place Wednesday morning following a report of a man with a gun.
ECISD officials tell NewsWest 9, a woman called Cavazos Elementary and told the staff that she saw a man with a handgun walking east a couple of blocks from the school.
As a precaution the school was placed under “shelter in place” and remained that way for about 30 minutes.
During the “shelter in place” police were unable to find anyone with a weapon.
We're told that the school is back on their regular schedule.
