Odessa Police Department Press Release
46-Year-Old Chris O'Neal Marshall
Odessa Police arrested Marshall on 9-5-14 at approximately 2157 hours for Fraud, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a tan 2001 Grand Marquis Mercury run a red light at University and Dixie. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Marshall. A warrant check revealed that Marshall had a felony warrant out for his arrest for Fraud. Marshall was charged and arrested accordingly.
20-Year-Old Kevin Galindo
Odessa Police arrested Galindo on 9-5-14 at approximately 2233 hours for Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Third Degree Felony. Officers responded to the 700 block of Graham in reference to an aggravated assault that had occurred. Dispatch advised the actor vehicle was a red Cadillac. Officers a red Cadillac at 5th and Dotsy and conducted a traffic stop on it. While officers made contact with the driver, identified as Galindo, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming Galindo and his vehicle.
Officers could see marijuana stuck between Galindo's teeth. After officers asked Galindo to stick out his tongue, they could see marijuana inside his mouth. Galindo advised that he ate the marijuana because he was on probation. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Galindo was charged and arrested accordingly.
20-Year-Old Oscar Joe Patino, Jr.
Odessa Police arrested Patino on 9-5-14 at approximately 2301 hours for Endangering a Child "State Jail Felony" and Racing on a Highway "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a black 2008 Ford Mustang stopped at a red light at Andrews and University. The driver of the Mustang began to rev up its engine. Once the light turned green, the Mustang accelerated southbound at a high rate of speed.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle in the 1400 block of North Grant and the driver was identified as Patino. Officers observed a 2-year-old infant sitting in the back of the listed vehicle. By racing southbound on Andrews Highway and Grant, Patino placed the 2-year-old male infant in imminent danger of bodily injury or death. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Patino was charged and arrested accordingly.
46-Year-Old Luis Alberto Gonzalez
Odessa Police arrested Gonzalez on 9-7-14 at approximately 0045 hours. Officers responded to 4600 Oakwood (Peppertree Apartments) in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed Gonzalez had been in a disturbance with his girlfriend. Officers observed in plain view on the table, within arm's reach of where Gonzalez was sitting, a white powdery substance that appeared to be cocaine. The white powdery substance tested positive for cocaine and Gonzalez was charged and arrested accordingly.
67-Year-Old Enrique B. Vasquez
Odessa Police arrested Vasquez for Theft "State Jail Felony" and Criminal Trespass "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers responded to 4101 East 42nd Street (Dillards) in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Dillards personnel, who reported they observed Vasquez take 4 polo shirts and exit the store without making any attempt to pay for them.
The shirts, value at approximately $390, were returned to Dillards. Dispatch advised Vasquez had a prior conviction for theft. Further investigation revealed Vasquez had been criminally trespassed from Dillards in March of 2013. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Vasquez was charged and arrested accordingly.
29-Year-Old Miriam Annette Hernandez
Odessa Police arrested Hernandez on 9-7-14 at approximately 2125 hours for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and Public Intoxication "Class C Misdemeanor". Officers responded to the 5000 block of East 42nd Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with one of the involved parties, identified as Hernandez. Hernandez was placed into custody for public intoxication. While searching Hernandez, officers discovered cocaine inside her purse. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Hernandez was charged and arrested accordingly.
23-Year-Old Nicholas Ryan Kirkpatrick
Odessa Police arrested Kirkpatrick on 9-6-14 at approximately 2017 hours for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony", Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon "Class A Misdemeanor", Possession of Marijuana "Class B Misdemeanor", and Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a red 2014 Chevrolet Impala run a red light.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Kirkpatrick. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered a handgun, a glass pipe, a scale, and methamphetamine. While searching Kirkpatrick, officers discovered a loaded magazine inside his pocket. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Kirkpatrick was charged and arrested accordingly.
