NEW DETAILS: Odessa Police Investigating Car-Pedestrian Accident

ODESSA - Odessa Police have released some new information about a car-pedestrian accident that happened on Saturday night.

The accident happened on Andrews Highway and Carolyn Drive just after 8:45 p.m.

Police say 42-year-old Todd Ploen was pushing his 31-year-old girlfriend in a wheelchair on Carolyn Drive when a black car hit them from behind.

We're told the driver of the black car fled the scene.

Ploen and his girlfriend were taken to Medical Center Hospital and are currently listed in critical condition.

Police say the vehicle was a black car with square taillights. The exact make and model of the car has not yet been released.
