Fort Stockton Corrections Officer Arrested For Possession of a Controlled Substance

FORT STOCKTON – A corrections officer is facing charges after purchasing methamphetamine from an undercover agent in Fort Stockton.

The Fort Stockton Police Department tells NewsWest 9, 23-year-old Erick Carbajal was making plans to take the drugs into the Lynaugh Corrections Unit in Fort Stockton.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice investigators later learned of the plans and about Carbajal.

Police say on Wednesday afternoon, Carbajal purchased methamphetamine from an undercover agent.

Carbajal was immediately arrested and is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance, which is a second degree felony.

Carbajal was taken to the Pecos County Jail and is currently out on a $2,500 bond.
