Two Odessans accused of being involved in a bank fraud scheme have been formally charged.

44-year-old Lanny McDorman and 46-year-old Justine Woods have been charged with bank fraud.

McDorman is the owner of Shorts Electric in Odessa and Woods is the manager.

Between June 2012 and March 2014, the company had a reserve business account at Commercial State Bank.

It allowed them to collect funds without waiting for customer's invoices to be paid.

In turn, they would have to pay the bank back when they were paid.

According to the report, the business never repaid back several withdrawals because they used fraudulent invoices.

In all, we're told they withdrew around $400,000.
