Midland's "Godmother of Heroin" and her partner have finally been arrested.

79-year-old Lidia Alvarez and 54-year-old Domingo Alvarez both face federal charges for dealing heroin.

The Drug Enforcement Agency along with other law enforcement agencies caught the duo with 21 ounces of heroin on Tuesday.

Their investigation showed the couple is actually linked to the death of 19-year-old Haley Kemp.

Kemp was the Midland teen who overdosed on methamphetamine and heroin back in June and was dumped off a county road.

Agents tell NewsWest 9, they're the primary heroin trafficker in the area and the two men that were involved in Kemp's death got the drug from them.
