MIDLAND – Four people are behind bars after being arrested over the weekend for engaging in organized criminal activity after a robbery.

The robbery happened near Midkiff Road and Wadley Avenue.

We're told 21-year-old Larell Thompson, 17-year-old Dylan Bellesheim, 22-year-old Chelsea Navarette and a 15-year-old male juvenile were arrested after a brief pursuit on Saturday.

Officials say the victim of the robbery was dropping someone off in the 1900 block of Crescent Place when a white Dodge Charger pulled up behind the victim and blocked the driveway.

The victim told police that a person from the vehicle, who was wearing a black mask over his head, pointed what appeared to be a small handgun at him and demanded his wallet.

The vehicle then took off and the victim called police.

Nearby police units responded and found the Dodge Charger traveling at a high rate of speed on Greenbriar Drive.

After a brief chase, the Charger crashed into a dumpster on the west side of the Stonegate Fellowship Church on Wadley.

Officers found Navarette hiding on the side of the dumpsters where the other three were crouched in the bed of a pickup in the church's parking lot.

We're told the Charger was reported stolen by the Odessa Police Department.

All four people have been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity for the aggravated assault. Thompson is facing an additional charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading while Navarette is facing an additional charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
