Hobbs Teen Arrested For Shooting at Another Person

HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs teen is behind bars after shooting at someone.

18-year-old Daniel Ramirez is charged with aggravated battery.

According to the report, Ramirez got into a fight with two guys.

Ramirez told officers one of the guys knocked on his door and exchanged a few words and that the other guy came out of the car with a gun.

They left but came back near his house.

Police say that's when Ramirez pulled a gun out and shot at them.

One of the guys was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Officers spotted Ramirez a short time later.

During questioning, Ramirez told officers he had borrowed the gun but wouldn't give any other information about it.
