BIG SPRING - The Big Spring City Council has voted to replace members of the Economic Development Board in Big Spring.
The 5-2 vote did not include the EDC Director's position as the City Council doesn't have the authority to replace the Director.
During the meeting, Big Spring Mayor Larry McLellan said this issue has been conversation for 10 months.
The Council stated during the meeting that the board had become so polarized on issues that they've lost sight of their missing and have become dysfunctional.
Members of the public who were at the meeting who were at the meeting directed the blame at Economic Development Board Director Terry Wegman. However, President Don Avant urged the City Council to kick him out and let the board continue to work.
