MIDLAND - A Midland man got locked up over the weekend after he assaulted a family member with a couch and a golf club.
Justin Busbee is facing felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
When officers arrived at a home on West Taylor, witnesses told them that the victim confronted one of Busbee's friends about some money that had gone missing.
Busbee became upset and hit the victim with a golf club.
He also threw a couch and rocks after the victim grabbed a knife.
One of the rocks hit another person at the home.
According to the affidavit, the victims did not want to press charges against him.
