ODESSA - It was an exciting day for the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
The university was given $100,000 in support of the new Engineering Program.
The money will be used to establish an endowed professorship.
Bill Watts, a retired UTPB faculty member, was the generous donor.
The University is also looking at bringing in a brand new engineering building.
The price tag for the building is $60 million dollars.
School officials requested tuition revenue bonds for the facility.
State lawmakers will consider the request in January.
