Two Men Arrested on Numerous Charges in Odessa

Odessa Police arrested 19-year-old Jason Crowder on 8-16-14 for Possession of Cocaine, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. 32-year-old Brandon Norman was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Drug and a felony warrant out of New Mexico for Burglary of a Dwelling and Criminal Damage over $1,000.

Officers observed a tan 2002 Ford Expedition traveling southbound in the 1000 block of East Monahans with the front passenger wearing no seat belt and holding an infant in his lap with no seat belt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Norman and the front right passenger was identified as Crowder.

A warrant check revealed Norman had a felony warrant out of Clovis, New Mexico for Burglary of a Dwelling and Criminal Damage Over $1,000. A warrant check also revealed Crowder to have a warrant out of Midland for Hit and Run, a Class B Misdemeanor. Both Norman and Crowder were placed into custody for their warrants.

Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered crack cocaine in the driver's door and a bag of cocaine on the center console. Officers also located a bottle containing 29 Neurontin pills and 7 Buspar pills. The prescription pills were not prescribed to either Norman or Crowder. Both Norman and Crowder were charged and arrested accordingly.
