BIG SPRING - The Big Spring City Council scheduled dates for public hearings regarding their new proposed tax rate and budget.
There will be public hearings on August 26 and September ninth for the new proposed tax rate.
September ninth will also be a date for the public hearing on the proposed city budget and September 23 is the date set for council for vote for the new tax rate.
If the new rate is approved, water and sanitation rates will go up.
