Odessa Man Caught With 15 Grams of Methamphetamine

Odessa Police arrested Gonzales on 8-11-14 for Possession of Methamphetamine "2nd Degree Felony" and Assault with a Prior Conviction (Family Violence) "3rd Degree Felony". Officers responded to the 200 block of May in reference to a disturbance involving a male and a female. Officers made contact with one of the involved parties, identified as Gonzales. Officers searched Gonzales and located over 15 grams of methamphetamine.

Further investigation revealed that Gonzales had a felony warrant for Assault Family Violence. On 7-24-14, the victim reported to police that her husband (Gonzales) assaulted her by punching her in the throat and striking her in the arm and face with a metal pipe. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, an assault felony warrant was obtained. Gonzales was charged and arrested accordingly.
