26-year-old James Dylan Mourning
Odessa Police arrested Mourning on 8-10-14 for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a white 2004 Ford F-150 run a red light at 2nd and Golder. The driver was identified as Mourning. Investigation revealed Mourning had three outstanding warrants out for his arrest, including a felony warrant out of Howard County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Mourning was charged and arrested accordingly.
23-year-old Lakecia Deshawn Fowler
Odessa Police arrested Fowler on 8-11-14 for Burglary of a Habitation, a First Degree Felony. Officers observed a beige 1994 Acura run a stop sign on the service road at Highway 80 and 8th Street. The driver was identified as Fowler. Investigation revealed Fowler had two warrants out for her arrest, including a 1st degree felony warrant for burglary of a habitation. Fowler was charged and arrested accordingly.
52-year-old Sergio Ramirez
Odessa Police arrested Ramirez on 8-7-14 for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More "3rd Degree Felony”, Assault Family Violence “ 3rd Degree Felony” and Simple Assault “Class C Misdemeanor”. Officers responded to the 3800 block of Andrews Highway in reference to a subject passed out behind the wheel of a white Ford F-150. Dispatch advised the driver was possibly intoxicated. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on Ramirez, who was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Investigation revealed Ramirez had two assault warrants out for his arrest along with multiple prior convictions for driving while intoxicated. Ramirez was charged and arrested accordingly.
58-year-old James Owen Milan
Odessa Police arrested Milan on 8-12-14 for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a gold Chevrolet truck fail to signal in the 500 block of Patterson. The driver was identified as Milan. Investigation revealed Milan had a local traffic warrant. While searching the listed vehicle, officers located a crack pipe and crack cocaine underneath the seat. Milan was charged and arrested accordingly.
21-year-old Eric Keith Johnson
Odessa Police arrested Johnson on 8-11-14 for Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Another Felony, a First Degree Felony. Officers responded to 2735 East 8th Street back on 6-24-14 in reference to a home invasion. Investigation revealed that four black males went to the listed residence and two of them displayed handguns as the other two ransacked the apartment. One of the suspects was arrested on 6-26-14. Further investigation revealed Johnson to be one of the four responsible for the home invasion. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, a felony burglary warrant was obtained for Johnson.
32-year-old Benjamin Farmer
Farmer turned himself in on 8-11-14 and was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation, a Second Degree Felony. Investigation revealed that on 6-17-14, Farmer made forced entry into a residence in the 3700 block of Fern Circle and took property without authorization. Witnesses reported observing Farmer exit the residence with property thru the front door. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, a felony burglary warrant was obtained for Farmer.
41-year-old Darrell Ray Smith, Jr.
Odessa Police arrested Smith on 8-10-14 for Possession of Methamphetamine, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a tan Chevrolet truck traveling southbound in the 4600 block of North Dixie displaying an expired registration sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Smith, who was arrested for driving while license invalid without insurance and was transported to the jail. While at the jail, officers discovered two baggies of methamphetamine inside his wallet. Smith was charged and arrested accordingly.
29-year-old Jacob Ross Richmond
Odessa Police arrested Richmond on 8-7-14 for Possession of Methamphetamine “3rd Degree Felony”, Tampering with Physical Evidence “3rd Degree Felony” and Possession of a Controlled Substance “Class A Misdemeanor”. Officers observed a gray 2001 Pontiac Bonneville traveling southbound in the 5300 block of North Dixie with a defective license plate light. A traffic stop was conducted and all four occupants were asked to step out of the vehicle.Officers then observed one of the subjects, later identified as Richmond, throw a small clear bag onto the ground. Officers tested the substance inside the bag, which tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers then searched Richmond and found him to be in possession of several Hydrocodone pills that were not prescribed to him. Richmond was charged and arrested accordingly.
25-year-old Timo M. Ybarra
Odessa Police arrested Ybarra on 8-9-14 for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle with a Prior Conviction “3rd Degree Felony”, Evading Arrest or Detention “Class A Misdemeanor” and two traffic warrants. Officers observed a gray 2002 Yamaha motorcycle fail to use its turn signal while traveling westbound in the 1200 block of East 42nd Street.Officers activated their emergency lights and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the motorcycle but it proceeded at a high rate of speed and ran the red light at Dixie. Officers placed an attempt to locate on the driver of the motorcycle. Another officer immediately located the Yamaha motorcycle and conducted a traffic stop on it at Andrews Highway and 42nd Street.The driver of the motorcycle immediately began to evade on foot and was caught by officers behind Denny’s. Ybarra was charged and arrested accordingly.
54-year-old Cleofas Gonzales Calderon
Odessa Police arrested Calderon on 8-11-14 for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. Officers observed a silver Ford Ranger fail to signal in the 900 block of East Monahans. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Calderon. Officers observed in plain view crack cocaine lying on the front seat. Calderon was charged and arrested accordingly.
30-year-old Eduardo Viescas
Odessa Police arrested Viescas on 8-7-14 for Tampering with Physical Evidence “3rd Degree Felony” and Possession of Cocaine “State Jail Felony”. Officers responded to the service road of I-20 and Grandview in reference to a suspicious person. While in the area, officers observed a suspicious vehicle, a red 1995 Honda Prelude, traveling northbound on Dixie in the 1900 block of South Dixie.After officers activated their emergency lights, they observed the driver throw a bag out the driver’s window. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Viescas. The bag tested positive for cocaine. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered more cocaine on the driver’s seat. Viescas was charged and arrested accordingly.
