TEA Releases MISD District and Campus Accountability Results

MIDLAND- The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released its district and campus accountability results for last school year.

The findings are based on the results of State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) testing. 

Locally, The Midland Independent School District as a whole was rated as “Met Standard.” 24 schools in the district also received the “Met Standard” rating, however 11 schools were rated as “Improvement Required.”

Carver Center: (Five Awards) Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts, Academic

Achievement in Science, Top 25% Student Progress, Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps, &

Early College High School at Midland College (Five Awards): Academic Achievement in

Reading/English Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in

Social Studies, Top 25% in Closing Performance Gaps, & Postsecondary Readiness

Emerson Elementary: Academic Achievement in Science

Lamar Elementary: Academic Achievement in Reading/ELA
